NAS (Network Attached Storage)

NAS: (Network Attached Storage) Is a perfect way to connect all of your movies, music, TV, pictures, and documents to the network without being attached to a computer. Instead of connecting to a USB port on a computer, these devices connect directly to your router or switch.

After I experienced my NAS on my network, I couldn't go back to opening media files that were located on a computer. The ability to read and write files to hard drives located on my network using Gigabit Ethernet, is extremely fast.
