Diamond ATI Theater HD 750 USB TV Tuner is a great tool to have. It's affordable and can enhance your Home Theater or HTPC.

There are two different ways of hooking up the HD 750 TV Tuner. With a coaxial cable from your cable ready hookup, or an OTA (over the air) Antenna. The package actually comes with an OTA antenna that works decent, but depending on where your TV is and Where your antenna is, you might want to look at a different antenna.

I used the ATI Theater HD 750 with Windows 7 and WIndows 8, both of these Operating Systems installed the drivers correctly without any issue and running Windows Media Center worked seemlessly. I ran through the setup and verified the HD 750 TV Tuner was receiving a signal and after scanning through channels and the initial setup, you were able to watch HD OTA channels.

I also used the ATI Theater HD 750 with a Time Warner Cable coaxial line. Using this as a Tuner for your HTPC or Home Theater works pretty well. You can receive in the unencoded HD and SD channels as long as you run through the setup again. You would have to get a CableCARD device if you wanted to receive in the encoded TV signals for your HTPC and Home Theater.

The HD 750 worked flawlessly and I never encountered any TV signal or TV Tuner issues while using it. If you are looking to turn your PC or HTPC into a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) and you are using OTA antenna or unencoded cable signals, then you could use this device.
