Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim Cooling Pad

March 25, 2014 Posted by Kevin White

Cooler Master have many options when it comes to cooling pads for laptops. The NotePal comes in two different styles, the X-Slim and the X3. This review is for the X-Slim Cooling Pad.

The X-Slim cooling pad offers a large 160mm fan that spins around 1500 RPM. Hearing 1500 RPM makes me think it was going to be loud, but really it's very quiet. This cooling pad features a mesh material that allows the air flow and fan to work together in dissapating the heat generated.

Cooler Master uses quality materials for a heavy duty and durable design. Great for gaming, demanding applications, and long term use that will generally heat up your system more than idle.

The X-Slim is USB powered and has a cable groove or slot that prevents the cord from moving too much. The cooler also utilizes tabs that can adjust the height and tilt for better viewing and usability.

The X-Slim has a lightweight design and can handle from the smallest laptop/netbooks to 17" laptops, it could possibly go past 17", but you are probably not reducing the heat as much as a larger cooler could handle.

Cooler Master's NotePal X-Slim Cooling Pad is definitely an efficient cooler that doesn't contribute much noise at all. The design is flattering and is engineered for great cool airflow, and it's slim design also makes it travel worthy. From office to home or traveling, this cooler will fit any occasion.
